So as you may know, I was laid off from my job back in June. It was the end of an era, and I was definitely bummed. Lots of people would be thrilled to have all that free time during the summer in Chicago, and I did do a lot of fun things. But, it's also a lot of free time. Alone. Keeping myself occupied with calming activities was KEY. I cooked and baked new things, took some yoga classes and got back into the swing (HA) of tennis.
The good news is... tomorrow I start my new gig! I'm so excited (and a little nervous) about this new chapter. I'll still be working in marketing but in more of a strategic way. And get this... I can walk to work! Gonna get those steps in. Plus, no more train delays.
Now onto this outfit.
You may have seen this skirt on your Instagram. Lots of bloggers have it. There's a reason for that. It's dope. This is one of only two skirts I currently own. I'm not a big skirt gal. I get self-conscious about the length. Too long, I feel frumpy. Too short, I feel scandalous. The other reason I love this skirt is because I can wear it with a t-shirt. Anything that I can use to dress up a t-shirt, I'm in.
Did I mention it's $30?
Target has been a solid source for chic, inexpensive clothing lately. I frequently turn to Who What Wear and A New Day for new pieces. Whether you're living sans paycheck for a while (hi), or just want to beef up your wardrobe, don't overlook Target. Keep scrolling to see some of my current faves.
Have a great week!
Here's what I've been adding to my cart on Target.
