Longline Vest for a Long Winter
Hey guys, remember me?
Blogging is hard. It takes discipline, and motivation and courage honestly. My problem is I can't seem to have all three of those things at the same time. Hence the awkward silences between posts. Just when I get a wave of motivation, it's gone before I know it. Or I finally follow through with producing some content and I just can't bring myself to post for whatever reason my hyper critical mind tells me that day.
Combine all of this with the cold and darkness of winter and you're really in trouble.
But I have mustered up the courage to post my photos and my thoughts because a dear friend has motivated me to start hustling again (shoutout to you, Katy). I hope to have the discipline to keep this blog alive and well, even if I'm the only one who reads it :)
On to the outfit!
Every time I put this vest on I think to myself, "I should just wear this every day." It's heavy enough to give you some warmth, but versatile enough to style through a few seasons. On particularly chilly days I layer it over this thicker turtleneck. On milder days (where have you gone?) I've primarily worn it with a basic long sleeve tee and jeans.
These ponte pants have been my best recent purchase. They are pull on pants with an elastic waistband that can still pass as dress pants! They are so comfortable and the material is nice and thick, which makes for a flattering fit.
I had very little faith in the comfort level of these boots when I ordered them. But, I was pleasantly surprised! The heel height is perfect for long or drapey pieces like this vest. Unfortunately, this pair is sold out, but I'll link similar styles below.
Thanks so much for reading! Have a fabulous week everyone!
